Jack Patterson

Jack Patterson is a member of Grammy award-winning dance act Clean Bandit who have sold over 32 million singles worldwide, including over 11 million of their 2014 worldwide smash ‘Rather Be’ (feat. Jess Glynne). Jack has produced and co-written all of Clean Bandit’s international hit singles including ‘Real Love’, ‘Symphony’, ‘I Miss You’, ‘Rather Be’ and ‘Rockabye’. 


In 2015, Jack Patterson won two Ivor Novello Awards as one of the writers of ‘Rather Be’, triumphing in the ‘Best Contemporary Song’ category and the ‘PRS for Music Most Performed Work’ category. ‘Rather Be’ also landed Jack a Grammy Award for best Dance Recording in 2015, as well as a BRIT Award nomination for British Single of the Year. The song went triple platinum in the US, selling over 3 million records, as well as being certified platinum in numerous other countries, including Australia (4x Platinum), Italy (4x Platinum), Germany (2x Platinum), Canada (2x Platinum), Sweden (2x Platinum) and the UK (3x Platinum).


Clean Bandit returned in 2016 with their UK top 5 Platinum hit ‘Tears’ (feat. Louisa Johnson), followed by the global smash ‘Rockabye’ (feat. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie), Clean Bandit’s second UK number 1. The song went on to be Christmas number 1 and spent a total of 9 weeks at the top of the UK charts, the longest reign by a British artist since Wet Wet Wet in 1994. The song has sold over 10 million worldwide to date and entered the top ten on the US Billboard chart. It also earned the band two further BRIT Award nominations for British Single of the Year and British Video of the Year.


They followed this up with ‘Symphony’ (feat. Zara Larsson) another worldwide success with 6 million global sales, including platinum certification in Australia (3x Platinum), Italy (4x Platinum), Netherlands (4x Platinum), , Sweden (5x Platinum) and the UK (3x Platinum), where it also became the band’s third number 1 single, as well as landed another two BRIT Award nominations for British Single of the Year and British Video of the Year. Their latest release, ‘I Miss You’ (feat. Julia Michaels), has also gone Platinum in the UK and became their 8th UK top 5 single, more than Adele.


Jack has also found success in co-writing and co-producing for other artists. He co-wrote and produced the huge no. 1 single ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne which was later nominated for British Single of the Year at the BRIT Awards 2016. The track also landed Jack his second consecutive Ivor Novello Award nomination in the ‘PRS for Music Most Performed Work’ category. He also co-wrote and co-produced the recent Sean Paul and David Guetta single ‘Mad Love’, which was met with universal acclaim upon release.


In addition to this, Jack has remixed for some of the biggest names in pop music, producing Clean Bandit remixes for the likes of Flume, Rudimental, Jack U and The Weeknd.


Jack continues to grow as one of the UK’s most promising artist/writer/producers, equally comfortable producing and writing on his own projects as well as other artists.

Clean Bandit and Years & Years Nominated For Brits 2019

Years & Years and Clean Bandit have both been nominated at the BRIT Awards 2019. Both bands have racked up a combined total of three nominations for ‘British Single’, ‘British Artist Video of The Year’ and ‘British Group’.
