Rae Morris Unveils Stunning Live Arrangement For ‘Push Me To My Limit’

Rae Morris has today unveiled a stunning live video to accompany her new track ‘Push Me To My Limit’, taken from her forthcoming album ‘Someone Out There’, due for release on 2nd Feb 2018.

The piece was filmed in Toerag Studio, and sees Rae accompanied by a brass trio and synth player, adding a delicate, poignant visual to the already beautiful track.

“I met Hannah (Peel) when she played trombone on the record. I was already a fan of her music but she’s also an amazing brass arranger. I was so interested to hear an alternate version of Push Me To My Limit purely for brass instruments, she was up for doing it and did a really special job.

Toerag Studio is a completely analogue studio and everything is recorded to tape which makes for a very live, very honest environment. It was such a welcome change to not have the option to redo takes over and over again. We had to be focused and present in the moment and capture a performance that will never happen again.”

‘Someone Out There’ marks a stark sonic shift for the Blackpool native, seeing Rae hone her craft as a true creative force, with input in all creative aspects of the album, from the lyrics and music, to the imagery and artwork, music videos and production. Bold and ambitious, the record focuses in on complex, electronic elements, marrying perfectly with Rae’s soaring and ethereal vocals, with production from Fryars, Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Adele), My Riot (London Grammar, Bloc Party, RHODES), Fred Gibson (Brian Eno, RAYE, M.O., Stefflon Don), Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean) and Starsmith (Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Kwabs, Ellie Goulding), as well as mixing from Dan Grech (Halsey, Wolf Alice, Lana Del Ray, Regina Spektor).
