Machine Managementâ€™s Iain Watt and Martha Kinn have been nominated for Manager of the Year at the Music Week Awards 2017.
Managing Director, Iain manages a variety of Machine Management artists and including Clean Bandit who went from strength to strength in 2016 releasing â€˜Tears featuring Louisa Johnsonâ€™ which was the bandâ€™s fifth top five single in a row and went on to sell over 750k copies on the UK and 1.5 million around the world. Â This was followed by â€˜Rockabye featuring Sean Paul and Anne Marieâ€™ which went to be a huge global hit hitting the number 1 spot over 40 countries and stayed at no. 1 in UK for nine weeks, including the Christmas number 1, in the Official UK Charts. Â This was the longest run at no.1 by any UK act since 1994.
Since joining Machine Management in 2013 Martha has made a significant impact on the growth of the company where she is now a partner.Â She manages Years & Years whoâ€™s critically acclaimed debut album â€˜Communionâ€™ has clocked over 1.5million sales to date and hit the top ten in over 20 countries around the world including no.1 in the UK.
Years & Years have also been nominated in the Music & Brand Partnerships category. The band teamed up with Samsung and gave music fans the first live, immersive experience, with a interactive VR performance streamed live across Europe.
