Hey Charlie reveal new track ‘Young and Lonesome’

‘Young and Lonesome’ is the new offering from hotly tipped 3-piece Hey Charlie. This is the second track from the London based trio who are making waves with their dynamic brand of new wave grunge-pop. Equipped with heavy riffs, catchy hooks and the simple and  empowering lyrics ‘we can do what we want, when we want – nothing you say, will ever make us wanna stop’ , Young and Lonesome’ is a modern anthem for the next generation produced by Tarek from Spring King.

Following up from their stomping debut ‘Hey’, ‘Young and Lonesome’ is a taste of what’s to come from a band who have become an unpredictable and cyclonic live force, having played a string of summer live shows including Kendall Calling, Lee Fest, BST w/Green Day and The Great Escape Festival as well as supporting Foster The People in London. A testament to their live credentials, Hey Charlie can now reveal they’ve been handpicked by American rock legends All Time Low to support them on their upcoming European tour. (details of shows below). The band have been growing from strength to strength having garnered support from BBC Introducing, Kerrang Radio as well as appearing on two TV shows in Europe: ‘Music Is My Life’ in Italy and ‘RTL Live’ in Luxembourg.

Speaking on the new track, Hey Charlie said:

“We wrote Young & Lonesome about the conflicting feelings we face as young people of feeling like we’re more free and liberated than ever yet also more lonely as a generation.”

‘Young and Lonesome’ is another taste of what’s in store from a band breaking the norm and putting the fun back into rock music. The track is taken from their debut EP (of the same name), due for release later this year. Hey Charlie feel like an antidote to the contemporary music scene, a trio of headstrong girls who all play their own instruments Lizz (guitarist & vocalist), Sophie (bassist & vocalist) and Lauren (drums & Bvs) , write their own music and create a live show unlike any other.
